WELCOME TO JT3 FOUNDATION INC.
JT3 foundation helps educate coaches and parents on how to handle heat-related circumstances due to physical exertion in high temperatures.
JT3 foundation was founded by Tartithia Wright mother of Johnny Tolbert III. Johnny Tolbert III passed away in 2016 due to a heat stroke that happened in South Fulton on a field called Welcome All Parks.
On that day it was 100 degrees outside while Johnny was practicing with his football team. Johnny passed out on the field and his body became overheated while no one knew what to do. Ms. Wright’s journey started upon finding out that The State of Georgia had no safety measures in place for heat-related situations during the hottest months of the year for its youth athletes.
Tartithia along with a host of attorneys and some of our local representatives became very focused and determined to implement a bill that would help prevent this from happening to other kids. The team fought for 6 years to get bill passed that will require each coach in South Fulton to complete a heat-related course and to put water vessel in every South Fulton parks. JT3 Foundation Inc. will help each coach get training and also give out book scholarships in the name of Johnny Tolbert III.
